What are the active ingredients in LARRI Oral Spray?
Larry Oral Spray contains 3 ingredients that help protect, lubricate and soothe tissues affected by silent reflux.
- Magnesium Alginate: Protects throat tissues coating them and acting as a physical barrier to damage by stomach acid reflux.
- Sodium Hyaluronate: Lubricates thickened mucus in the throat and helps with coating damaged tissues to heal naturally.
- Green Tea Extract (Camelia Sinensis): Soothes inflamed and irritated tissues, relieving discomfort.
How often can I use LARRI?
Use 2 sprays 3 to 4 times daily as directed by your health professional or as needed for relief.
Can I take LARRI with other medicines?
LARRI is not recommended for use at the same time you are using other medications or products which are applied to the inside tissues of the mouth or throat. If you have any concerns, discuss your circumstances with your pharmacist or doctor.
Can anybody use LARRI?
LARRI is designed for use in adults.
What are precautions to take when using LARRI?
This product contains benzoate as a preservative. Do not use if you have allergies or sensitivities to this or any of the ingredients.
Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
The product should only be used by one person. Sharing may spread infection.
Read the package leaflet carefully.
Do not use if the carton shrink-wrapping is missing or damaged.
Do not use after the expiry date shown on the carton and label.
Avoid contact with your eyes.
How do I use LARRI Oral Spray?
- Lift the spray arm to the horizontal position and while aiming it away from the face depress the pump several times until a fine spray appears.
- Insert the spray arm into the mouth aiming the tip towards the back of the throat. Depress the pump to apply the dose.
- After the dose has been delivered wipe the spray arm with a clean tissue and return it to the original position at the side of the container and store it in the carton with the leaflet.
How long does LARRI last for?
The dose for LARRI lasts between 3 to 4 hours. If you have any concerns, discuss your circumstances with your pharmacist or doctor.
Can I use LARRI if I’m pregnant?
LARRI is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Can you use LARRI for Silent Reflux in babies or children?
LARRI is not recommended for use in babies or children. Consult your doctor if you wish to discuss your child’s circumstances for ways on relieving silent reflux in children.
What lifestyle changes can I make to manage Silent Reflux?
Lifestyle changes can help reduce the severity and frequency of Silent Reflux symptoms. These include things like:
- Increase fibre (vegetables and fruit) in the diet
- Avoid spicy, fried or acidic foods, alcohol and large meals at least 3 hours before lying down
- Reduce coffee, tea and chocolate
- Elevate the head of the bed
- Avoid strenuous activities like heavy lifting
- Weight reduction and regular exercise
